EIVEC Technology and Electrostatic Drivers
Empire Intelligent Variable Electrostatic Control (EIVEC) is our novel approach to integrating electrostatic drivers (ESTs) into IEMs. For all their range and resolution, ESTs can be notoriously hard to control. EIVEC solves this by exercising such precise command that, in Wraith, each EST operates independently—performing discrete tasks within the soundstage—then blending seamlessly with the BA array for a rich, layered presentation. ESTs can stably reproduce 4 kHz–100 kHz; while we can’t hear above ~20 kHz, the agility required to extend that high translates into unmatched detail and speed in the audible band.
synX Crossover Technology
Introducing synX
synX designates more individual audio bands per driver than other crossover technologies. This multi-lane “highway” lets our engineers sculpt target response precisely and eliminate phase incoherence. It also gives mix engineers and audiophiles finer control when EQ’ing via consoles or digital audio players.

Proprietary Drivers
Wraith utilizes proprietary balanced armature drivers from Knowles and Sonion, each purpose-built for its target band. Specialized reeds and low-mass diaphragms deliver detailed, true-to-recording sound while remaining efficient enough for everyday devices.
Each Empire driver also leverages Ferrofluid—NASA-born ferromagnetic liquid—to damp acoustic peaks and reduce vibrations in concert with our A.R.C. technology, resulting in extraordinary clarity and improved shock durability.
Bespoke Handcrafted Cables
Every Wraith includes a bespoke, handcrafted Cleopatra cable by Effect Audio: a proprietary 26 AWG UPOCC Ultra Pure Silver construction with ultra-flexible insulation for maximum signal speed, performance, and ergonomics. Each cable is terminated in a durable 3.5 mm 24k Oyaide gold-plated right-angle plug. 2.5 mm and 4.4 mm balanced terminations are available at no additional charge.

A.R.C. Technology
Balanced Armature (BA) drivers can exhibit resonant peaks, unwanted vibrations, and distortion. We mitigate this with Ferrofluid between magnets and armature to provide tunable damping—eliminating the need for a port-tube damping screen.
Secondary peaks can still occur from component interaction. After years of R&D we developed A.R.C. (Anti-Resonance Compound), a proprietary coating applied to every driver, crossover, and sound tube. A.R.C. increases mass and adds internal damping, absorbing resonance rather than reflecting it out of phase—substantially increasing clarity, deepening bass, and improving overall efficiency.
